From May 23 to June 1, at La Subhasta Espai Gastronòmic, we celebrate the fourteenth edition of the Fideus Rossejats Festival of l’Ametlla de Mar. An event that honors our seafaring cuisine, deeply rooted in tradition and territory, with an emblematic dish that connects us to the history of the town’s fishermen.

A dish with history and identity

Fideus rossejats are much more than a typical dish: they are living memory. As our chef Marc explains, it is a simple yet very flavorful recipe that was cooked onboard using basic ingredients: the noodles are toasted, a rich fish broth is prepared with blue and rock fish, and everything is mixed to achieve a tasty and recognizable dish.

Unlike rice, noodles allow for great creativity in the kitchen. At La Subhasta, this year we have prepared two unique versions that you can enjoy during these days:

Special Fideus Rossejats Menu

To start:

  • Cod salad, marinated tuna, tomatoes, and romesco vinaigrette
  • Mixed tempura of eggplant and fish from La Cala
  • Steamed mussels from “terreny”

Main course (choose one):

  • Fideus rossejats with monkfish and shrimp
  • Black fideus with cuttlefish and its ink

Desserts:

  • Cheesecake or lemon sorbet

Drink included:

D.O. Terra Alta wines and water

Menu price: €39 (VAT included)

At La Subhasta, we combine technique and quality products to bring a version of fideus rossejats faithful to the seafaring essence, but with our personal touch. Also, during these days the atmosphere will be special: pairings, fresh market produce, and an experience designed for lovers of good cuisine.
