La Subhasta recently hosted one of its most special gastronomic events, a thematic pairing with the exquisite wines of Altavins, a winery from Terra Alta known for its commitment to quality and territorial expression. This pairing, focused on seasonal mushrooms, combined the richness of porcini, chanterelles, and other local varieties with a menu designed to highlight the flavors of autumn.

The Menu: A Sensory Journey

The menu, specially crafted for the occasion, was meticulously designed to capture the essence of autumn. Highlights included:

  • Cuttlefish with chanterelles, paired with 4G white wine.
  • King egg carpaccio with foie and cured egg yolk, accompanied by La Jefa wine.
  • Sweet potato, grilled porcini, artichokes, and chestnuts, perfectly paired with L’Addicció.
  • Vegetable thread, Iberian pork feather, and mushroom sauce, accompanied by Proelio Viñedos Viejos.
  • Duck meatballs stewed with black trumpets and yellow chanterelles, paired with El Pacto red wine.
  • Autumn desserts, a sweet finish capturing the essence of the season.

Mushrooms, the undeniable stars of the season, were handled with care and creativity, offering a gastronomic experience that surprised even the most demanding palates.
