This fish, scientifically known as Thunnus Thynnus, has been a central element of the Mediterranean diet for centuries, prized for its valuable nutritional properties and incredible culinary versatility

Balfegó bluefin tuna, the star of these events, is globally recognized for its exceptional quality, and it's no surprise that it has been featured in renowned media like the Michelin Guide and El País. This tuna is the result of a tradition that combines sustainable fishing with a meticulous selection process and a traceability system, as each specimen comes with a QR code that provides detailed information on its capture, size, weight, and quality. This commitment to transparency and sustainability is one of Balfegó's hallmarks, ensuring that every bite of this precious tuna is a unique gastronomic experience.

Our goal with every creation is to offer a complete gastronomic experience that connects our clients with the pure taste of the Mediterranean.

The Balfegó Bluefin Tuna Days are not just a culinary event but a celebration that transcends the boundaries of the kitchen. With more than a thousand participating restaurants across Spain, this culinary festival showcases the work of the most creative chefs who are committed to sustainability. Over the course of two weeks, diners can enjoy special menus that combine the best of tradition with the latest culinary innovations.

For those seeking a unique experience, there will also be a raffle for a trip for two people to the Tuna Tour, an unforgettable experience that allows participants to swim among bluefin tuna in Balfegó's enclosures in L’Ametlla de Mar.
