When people come to La Subhasta for lunch or dinner, there is often a moment near the end of the meal when someone at the table says:

“Come on… let’s save some room for dessert.”

Desserts at La Subhasta also play an important role. They are not just the end of the meal: very often they are what makes the whole experience end on a memorable note.

Behind the desserts at La Subhasta

The sweet side of the menu is the work of Jimena. She has been working at La Subhasta since 2020 and over the years has become an important part of the kitchen team.

With experience and time, she is now responsible for preparing the desserts offered at the restaurant. She also takes part in preparing some of the dishes on the menu from start to finish, always with great care and dedication, because determination and organisation are very much part of who she is.

The result is homemade desserts, carefully prepared and made for guests to truly enjoy.

The desserts currently on the menu

At the moment, La Subhasta’s menu includes a selection of desserts that, honestly, rarely disappoint anyone:

• Homemade cheesecake with biscuit base and seasonal jam

• Our brioche torrija with vanilla ice cream

• Chocolate brownie with caramel ice cream

• Bread, chocolate, olive oil and salt

• Cream-filled “bunyols de vent” with Catalan cream

• Assorted pastries from Ca la Neus with a jug of mistela

These desserts combine classic recipes with a touch of the house, always with the same idea: finishing the experience with a great taste.

Desserts that also change

As with the rest of the menu, at La Subhasta we also like to introduce some seasonal suggestions.

Sometimes you may find desserts such as the Catalan cream mille-feuille, carrot cake or other creations that appear and disappear depending on the season.

That way, regular guests can always discover something new.

A small tip

If you come to La Subhasta, the best thing you can do is simple:

Don’t eat everything beforehand.

Save a little space for dessert.

It will probably be worth it.
